FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2016

I took a year off from blogging and now I need to catch up. Since my last post was the first day of school last year, I will restart with the first day of school this year. Hard to believe Carlos is a Junior, Isabell is a 9th grader and our baby grandchild is now in 6th grade. Lord have mercy, we are getting old. Lauren is a Senior at Baylor University and Lindsay is a Senior at Grapevine High. Steff home schools on an internet program in Oklahoma.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL

It is back-to-school day for all our Texas scholars. Steffinee has already been in class for two weeks in Oklahoma. Praying all have a great school year.

Carlos (Sophomore at Trinity HS), Isabell (8th grade at Harwood Jr High), and Samantha (5th grade at Wilshire Elementary).

Carlos and Isabell left this morning on an MPact Missions trip to Llano, Tx where they will work in the community. Praying they have a good week, have fun and are a blessing to others. Here they are pictured at the church before leaving.

PRAYERS FOR YOUTH MISSION TRIP

This morning prayers were prayed over some of our youth who will be going on a mission trip here in Texas to minister to people and do some much needed work for others. Carlos and Isabell are in this group.

ISABELL AS AN ORPHAN IN ANNIE

The Harwood Junior High Choir had their Spring concert this week. They did songs from Annie and here is Isabell dressed as an orphan. We didn't make the concert but Mary said they did a good job.

HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY ISABELL

Another teenager in the family as Isabell turns 13 today. The grandkids are growing up way too fast.

Samantha made cupcakes for Isabell's 13th birthday. Isabell was very happy with them as they were made according to her specifications - chocolate with white chocolate inside, blue raspberry icing, topped with a piece of cookies and cream candy.

GOOFING AROUND

Carlos and Isabell goofing around with Pastor Jeff on the way to Fine Arts competition at SAGU. Carlos is part of the human video team and Isabell is singing. I hope they do well and I am sure they will. Good luck kids.

The kids all have something they particularly want for holiday meals. Isabell is looking forward to deviled eggs tomorrow. Some like lots of paprika and some like a little so here they have a choice.

Colleyville AG Block Party

This afternoon after church our church hosted a community block party. Beautiful sunny day, good food, fun, and fellowship. Dustin, Carlos, Isabell, and Samantha enjoyed watching a BMX performance, a game truck, pizza, and food from the food truck. They cooled off with snowcones. Grandma's tired but had a good day.
