Since today is the last day of Christy's birthday month, here is one more old birthday picture of her. I am so bad, I can't remember if this was her 15th or 16th birthday. I will leave you alone for awhile now, Christy. Next month we have three birthdays so you and Lauren will escape the old pictures for awhile!

Lauren Past and Present
I love this picture Cindy posted to her facebook page on Lauren's 19th birthday. I just can't believe how fast grandchildren grow! Or maybe I just can't believe how old I am getting. As it turned out Lauren is a singer who has raveled world-wide with her high school choir even performing for the Pope in Rome. Who knew? She used to dress up in her princess clothes, grab her little microphone and perform for us. Love you Lauren and so proud of the young woman you are.

Birthday Cupcakes
Yesterday Christy was packing up to move from Watauga to Addison so we delayed her birthday celebration. She loves red velvet cake so I helped Dustin today to prepare dinner for her and he choose red velvet cupcakes for her dessert. Have ribs in crock pot. Dustin has a doctor appointment in Ft Worth at 4 and I have a meeting at church at 7 so we are doing as much as we can in advance!
Running Behind so Happy Belated Birthday to Lauren and to Christy

Special Valentine
Look what I found today. An old Valentine from a little Dustin. Looks like his mommy tried to help him print his name. Wish I had dated it but I didn't. Love my grandchildren!

Way to Go, Ladybug!
So proud of Grandma's Ladybug, Lindsay Hart. After completing her first semester of high school she is ranked number 17 academically in her class of 535 students. Not bad for a girl who played on the volleyball team as well as a club team that travels nationally. Go LINDSAY!

Thank You Aunt Cindy!
Aunt Cindy Samantha wants you to know how much she loves her soft warm pullover you gave her. We had to take a picture for you to see if the color stayed true and it did. Here she is posing for you!

The Wilson Girls
Christmas Eve 1972. Steve's mom crocheted these sweater ponchos for Steve's sister Becky, Christy, and Cindy. Becky and Cindy are having a little trouble getting Christy to stand still. She was 10 months old and wanting to get to mommy and the camera. I love looking back at these old pictures as we celebrate birthdays each month. Happy Birthday month Christy!

Favorite Pictures of the February Birthday Girls
A couple of my favorite pictures of our February birthday girls. The first one is Lauren at 3 months. She surprised us all when she was born a month early and we were thrilled to have our first granddaughter. She gave us some tense moments though when we saw how sick she was. She had a lung problem and spent a few days in the NICU. However, as you can see in this picture she was a happy, healthy baby girl. We love you Angel Girl!
The second picture is of Christy when we still lived in Indiana. We had terrible problems with her hair but thanks to our wonderful next door neighbor Harriet Duncan, Christy's hair turned out beautifully. This is one of my favorite pictures of her.

Grapevine Snow
We got snow! I got up this morning to dry ground. When Steve got up an hour later he asked if there was ice under the snow. When I looked out this time the ground was white. The weatherman said this morning, "You know we get excited here in Texas when we get snow. Well you can get excited, just not very excited." He said we would get a dusting this morning and sure enough we did. So to all my Hoosier family and friends, here is our Texas snow from my front porch. Love it!
Personal Note
Our daughter-in-law Mary lost her dad suddenly last week. I have not been posting as we have been busy helping her and her family for several days. It has been a tough time for her. Here is the last picture taken of her dad. We gave Samantha a camera for Christmas. She used it to take this picture of her papa when he opened his box of brownies she had made for him. It is kind of neat that she was able to take the last picture ever taken of him. RIP Papa John.

Baylor Sunset
This month is the birthdays of Christy and Lauren. Lauren was born on Christy's birthday which was a huge thrill for Christy. And speaking of Lauren, today's post is a picture she captured of a sunset over the Baylor University Campus. That is beautiful, Lauren.
