FATHER'S DAY BROWNIES

Samantha made her daddy brownies for Father's Day. She also gave one to her Papaw Steve and her Uncle Rodney. Grandma was a bad girl and snitched one. They were very good!

CARLOS AND ISABELL AT MPACT 2015

Last week Carlos and Isabell went on a missions trip with some other kids from the youth group to Llano, Texas. Here are Carlos and  Isabell before service being silly.

The campers with their leaders ready to head back home today. They are all wearing their camp tee shirts. Samantha told me camp was lots of fun and the services were good, too!

RAINY DAY AT CAMP

So what do you do when a tropical storm brings rain to camp? You play water games, of course.

MORE KIDS CAMP FUN FROM YESTERDAY

Looks like Samantha is really enjoying Kids Camp 2015. Again, thank you Mrs. Sharon for posting these pictures for us to see.

FIRST DAY OF 2015 KIDS CAMP

They made it to the camp and it appears they are having a great time. Here are a couple of pictures as they are getting ready for the evening service. I was glad to see Samantha had her Bible, pen and journal.

LEAVING FOR KIDS CAMP

Samantha and friends leaving after church today for their Kids Camp. She loves Kids Camp and was anxious to go. Praying they have a very special experience. Prayers for Pastor John, Mrs. Sharon, and Miss Rebecca this week, too!

SAMANTHA'S FUN CAKE

Samantha decided to try something new today. Here she is making a colorful cake. She had to make Papaw something sweet before she leaves for church camp tomorrow.

LAUREN AND LINDSAY IN ORLANDO

Two of my favorite girls are in Orlando with their dad this week while Cindy had to stay home to study and do hospital clinicals. Rodney is working in Orlando for two weeks so the girls seized on that opportunity. Have fun girls!

CARLOS AND ISABELL ON MPACT TRIP

Carlos and Isabell left this morning on an MPact Missions trip to Llano, Tx where they will work in the community. Praying they have a good week, have fun and are a blessing to others. Here they are pictured at the church before leaving.

SAMANTHA ENJOYS LIBRARY PROGRAMS

One of the things Samantha enjoys most about summer is the programs she goes to at the Grapevine Library. Saturday was the big kick-off Super Heroes Day. We were there for four hours and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. Wednesday was the first program and she made sure to be first in line. Glad she enjoys reading and learning.

SAMANTHA MADE DINNER

Samantha ask if she could make chicken pot pie for dinner. I ask if she wanted a recipe and she said she didn't need one as she knew what went in chicken pot pie. So she made two from scratch including the crust. I don't eat chicken but everyone else had two helpings and said they were very good. This 10-year-old loves to cook and I am not complaining about that! Good job, Samantha!

She even smiles when she cleans up her mess!

WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Samantha and I were joking that the recent floods have made our church a wildlife sanctuary. A few weeks ago Chad took this picture of the ducks outside the lower entrance. Yesterday we had a turtle waiting outside the door!

RESULTS OF MAY'S RECORD BREAKING RAINS

Last month went down in the record books at the wettest May ever here in Grapevine, Texas. Here is a picture showing the results at some picnic structures around the lake. This picture is from the City of Grapevine and The GPD.

SAMANTHA SINGING WITH GIRLS CHOIR ON GENERATION SUNDAY

When a month has 5 Sundays, at our church we call the 5th Sunday 'Generation Sunday'. All the age groups, except for the nursery, participate in the service. Yesterday was Generation Sunday so the girls choir sang, the youth band played and led worship and they took up the offering. I could kick myself for not getting a picture of Isabell and Carlos as ushers! Chad got some good pictures of the choir so I am sharing some here. Love seeing my grandkids participating in church.
