Memories at The O'Quinns!

Came across this picture today and was reminded of all the good times we have had with Mike and Linda O'Quinn over the years. We met in the Air Force many, many years ago and have such good memories of good times together. This picture was taken February 10, 1991.

Who Wants To Buy A Harley?

Steve's brother Donald in Indiana is wanting to sell his Harley. He has over $16,000 in this bike and will sell it for $5,000.  This bike is loaded with customization and has been taken very good care of.  If you know anyone who is interested please let me know. It has a powder coated frame and is a 1977 Iron. Here are some recent pictures.

Bedford, Indiana 1922

This picture from my hometown of Bedford, Indiana was taken in 1922, the same year my dad was born. I wish Bedford had taken better care of the downtown. It makes me very sad every time I go back and see it today.  I loved the downtown of my childhood (a few years after this picture was taken!).

This photograph was taken in downtown Bedford, Indiana in 1922. They were headed to Philadelphia for a building. Most of the buildings are still there.

Happy Birthday Steve!

Happy Birthday to our husband, dad, and papaw! We wish you a very special day!

Steve (with Linda and Dustin) at ICE November 2013

In honor of Steve's birthday coming up Friday, here is a recent picture of him taken in November when we took Dustin to ICE at the Gaylord Texan. There was a lot of walking involved so he had to use his walker. I love January when I can call him the "old man" before I catch up to him in 4 months!

At the Gateway Arch, St. Louis

We have two birthdays this month in our family. Yesterday Steffinee Jo Wilson turned 15. This Friday Steve will be 67. Here is a picture of the two of them in 2009, I believe, with the Mississippi River in the background. This was taken at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis on our way back to Texas from Indiana.  The wind and the sun was making it hard to get a good picture but I love this one anyway.  Left to right - Dustin, Steffinee, Samantha, and Steve.

Steffinee All Boxed Up

This month's birthday girl back in June of 2000 when she was 3-years-old.  Here she is all boxed up at Aunt Christy's house. Kids always love boxes and Steffinee was no exception.

Steffinee Jo Is Growing Up Too Fast!

Can't believe this little one will be 15 on Sunday. Somehow the time keeps slipping away and the grandkids keep getting older!  This picture was taken when we went to Indiana for mom's 75th birthday in 2000. Steffinee was 17 months old at the time.

Steffinee and Papaw Christmas 1999

I love this picture of Steffinee sitting on Papaw's lap celebrating her first Christmas. She loved the toy with the pop-up animals they are playing with. Steffinee has always been such a happy and pleasant girl and that comes through in this picture.

Lauren This One's For You

Thursday we went to Walmart and had Samantha with us.  Naturally we had to check out the Christmas clearance goodies. She found a set of girl's nail polishes with a nail dryer for 75% off. I wondered why she was so taken with it and just really, really needed it. Yesterday I thought I smelled nail polish and went to check on her. She had polished her nails in Baylor colors for Lauren.  She took this picture for me to put on here for Lauren to see!

Samantha Ready For Baylor Watching

Well Samantha did her part.  She was so excited to wear her new Baylor tee shirt and hair bow to watch Baylor play in the Fiesta Bowl. She went to Aunt Cindy's house to watch the game with our two Baylor Bears.  She helped make sausage balls, dips, etc for game-watching. Unfortunately it just wasn't enough to pull Baylor to a victory.  As she explained to me later, we were just so happy to be there and we will win next year!  I like her positive attitude!

Note: She is holding her head down so you can see her pretty Baylor hair bow!  Loves her Baylor shirts and bow!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

And that is our New Year's Wish for You! Praying God will bless each of you this year with health and happiness.  I started to say with health, wealth, and happiness but dropped the wealth.  If he blesses you with health and happiness you will have wealth. Take it from one who knows, a year blessed with health is worth more than money can buy. In 2013 Steve and I were blessed with good health and I pray 2014 will also be a healthy year. Steve's health stayed steady and I felt better than I ever have.  Thank you, God.

The picture below shows one of our many blessings.  Yesterday Samantha helped me with food for our New Year's Eve. Chad, Mary, Samantha, and Dustin were all here with us.  After a spaghetti dinner and Samantha's good snacks, we played games until after midnight when it was time to pick up Carlos and Isabell from their youth group party at the church.  Samantha made two pies and a raspberry-pecan cheeseball which she is pictured with here.
